Gaya Quartzite is part of the Carmen brand by APE Grupo, reproducing the look of polished quartzite slab on a through-engineered porcelain body. With slight V2 shade variation, the surface keeps a consistent, refined movement from piece to piece — well suited to large continuous floors and statement walls where a calm, high-end stone aesthetic is the goal. The 24″x48″ (60×120 cm) rectified format, also offered in a dramatic 120×280 cm slab, supports wide, near-seamless layouts with minimal grout interruption.

Installation & Applications for APE Gaya Quartzite 24×48 Polished

The rectified 24″x48″ format supports tight grout joints and contemporary large-format layouts — straight-set, one-third offset (with the manufacturer-recommended overlap limit for long planks), and book-matched feature walls. It is recommended for interior floors and walls in bathrooms, kitchens, lobbies, living areas, and light-traffic commercial spaces. Although the porcelain body is frost resistant, the polished surface becomes slippery when wet; for that reason it is best specified for interior dry-to-occasional-wet areas, and a slip-rated finish should be selected for wet floors, pool surrounds, and exterior paving. Use a full-coverage mortar suited to large-format porcelain and back-butter each tile to ensure proper bedding and support.
